The objective of this study was to develop a parametric 3D-GIS model for the virtual simulation of an urban environment using Esri CityEngine. The model was developed by first creating a set of rules that would govern the placement and geometry of the 3D buildings. These rules were then applied to a 2D GIS dataset of the study area to create a 3D model of the city. The model was then exported to CityEngine for further refinement. The final model was then used to create a virtual reality (VR) model of the city, which was used to simulate various urban scenarios. The VR model was found to be realistic and provided a useful tool for urban planners and decision-makers.

3D-GIS Parametric Modelling

3D-GIS parametric modelling is a powerful tool that can be used to create virtual urban simulations. CityEngine is a software application that uses 3D-GIS parametric modelling to create realistic 3D cityscapes. This software is used by architects, urban planners, and engineers to create virtual city models that can be used for planning and analysis purposes. CityEngine is capable of creating highly detailed 3D city models that include all of the features of a real city, such as buildings, roads, trees, and people. This software is used to create simulations of urban environments that can be used to study the effects of proposed changes to a cityscape. 3D-GIS parametric modelling is an essential tool for creating

What is 3D-GIS Parametric Modelling?

3D-GIS parametric modelling is a powerful tool for virtual urban simulation using CityEngine. It allows users to create realistic 3D models of urban environments, and to simulate the effects of various urban planning scenarios. The parametric modelling approach makes it possible to create complex 3D models quickly and easily, and to change the parameters of the model to see how the results change. This makes it an essential tool for city planners and urban designers who need to be able to test different planning scenarios quickly and easily.

How can it be used for virtual urban simulation?

3D-GIS parametric modelling can be used for virtual urban simulation in a number of ways. It can be used to create realistic 3D models of urban environments, which can be used to test various scenarios and plan for potential problems. Additionally, it can be used to create virtual tours of urban areas, which can be used to educate the public about the city or to promote tourism. Finally, it can be used to create interactive 3D applications, which can be used to engage the public in the planning process or to allow them to explore the city in a fun and immersive way.
